GIVE PEACE A CHANCE CHOIR

Sean Lennon ( John Lennon's 15 year old son) and over twenty stars recorded this video with a new version of the famous antiwar song "GIVE PEACE A CHANCE" in 1991.

Everybody's talkin 'bout,
Planet earth
Rebirth
United nations
Good relations
Space stations
Starvation
Radiation
Salvation
Education
Liberation

Chorus:
All we are saying is: "Give Peace A Chance !"

Everybody's talkin' 'bout
Civil war
Revolution
Armageddon
No solution
Are we facing
Vietnam
We don't want to
Drop the bomb

Chorus

Everybody's talkin 'bout
Acid house
Gay spouse
Green house
Heavy metal
Hip hop
Censorship
Has to stop
Hiv
Azt
New kids dance on
MTV
With toxic waste dumps in the sea

Chorus

Everybody's talkin 'bout
Amazon's
Trees gone
Cancer cells
From the sun
Middle east
Crazy beast
Rock n rollers
Sing for peace

Chorus ...

A SONG OF PEACE FOR KIDS

There is a way that we can live and peace is the way
P – E – A – C – E, P – E – A – C – E, P – E – A – C – E
And peace is the way
PEACE is shaking someone’s hand and being a good friend
Clap E-A-C-E, Clap E-A-C-E, Clap E-A-C-E
And being a good friend
PEACE is dancing to the beat and having fun together
Clap, clap A-C-E, clap, clap A-C-E, clap, clap A-C-E
And having fun together
PEACE is sharing your nice smile and spreading lots of sunshine
Clap, clap, clap C-E, clap, clap, clap C-E, clap, clap, clap C-E
And spreading lots of sunshine
PEACE is choosing not to hurt and playing safe together
Clap, clap, clap, clap, E, Clap, clap, clap, clap, E, Clap, clap, clap, clap, E
And playing safe together
PEACE is helping with our hands and being kind to others

NEW YEAR AROUND THE WORLD

New Year is the time when a new calendar year begins. Not everyone celebrates New Year's Day on the 1st of January. People from different countries, cultures and religions celebrate it in different dates.

  • China and Vietnam: between 21st January and 21st February.
  • Indonesia has two New Year celebrations — the official one on January 1st and another on the Islamic New Year (this date varies from year to year).
  • The Russian Orthodox Church: on January 14th.
  • In Vietnam the new year usually begins in February.
  • Iran celebrates New Year's Day on March 21st.
  • Each of the religious groups in India has its own date for the beginning of the year. One Hindu New Year, Baisakhi, comes sometime in April or May.
  • The people in Morocco observe the beginning of the year on the tenth day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic year.
  • The Koreans celebrate their New Year on the day of the second new moon after winter solstice.
  • Cambodian New Year is on 13th or 14th April.
  • Ethiopia: on September 11th.

Watch this video and discover New Year's celebrations from around the world.
