STORY: BATHTIME FOR FIFI By John Fort


Fifi is Miss Simpson’s dog.

Miss Simpson: Fifi! Fifi! Come here.
Fifi: Oh, no. It’s bathtime.

But Fifi doesn’t like baths.

Miss Simpson:Fifi, Fifi. I’ve got some shampoo.

Fifi jumps out of the window.

Miss Simpson: Fifi! Fifi! Come here!
Fifi: Hooray! No more baths!

Miss Simpson sees a postman.

Miss Simpson: Excuse me. Is my dog Fifi here?
Postman: Has she got straight hair?
Miss Simpson: No, she’s got curly hair.
Postman: Sorry, she’s not here.

Miss Simpson sees a policeman.

Miss Simpson: Excuse me. Is my dog Fifi here?
Policeman: Has she got green eyes?
Miss Simpson: No, she’s got brown eyes.
Policeman: Sorry, she’s not here.

Miss Simpson sees a florist.
Miss Simpson:Excuse me. Is my dog Fifi here?
Florist: Has she got small ears?
Miss Simpson: No, she’s got big ears.
Florist: Sorry, she’s not here.

Fifi: Woof! Woof!
Miss Simpson: What’s that noise? It’s Fifi! Fifi!

Miss Simpson sees Fifi.

Miss Simpson: Oh Fifi! You’ve got dirty ears and dirty hair!

Fifi: Oh, no! It’s bathtime!
