ARBOR DAY

Arbor Day (arbor is tree in Latin) is a holiday celebrated in many countries all around the world. This is a day to plant and care for trees. The date varies depending on climate, but it is usually observed in spring.
In the USA, National Arbor Day is celebrated every year on the last Friday in April.
In Spain, each municipality or colective decides the date for its Arbor Day, usually between February and May.

The first celebration of Arbor Day in the world was in the small Spanish village of Villanueva de la Sierra (Cáceres) in 1805. On Tuesday Carnival, D. Ramón Vacas Roxo, the local priest, decided to plant trees in the village with the enthusiastic support of the entire population
