Ben: Let’s buy Dad a present.
Jessica: Yes!
Mum: Here’s ten pounds.
Jessica: I’ve got one pound.
Ben: I’ve got some money. I’ve got … 20 pence, 40 pence,
45 pence … 46, 47, 48, 49,50! And 50 pence! That’s 1 pound!
Jessica: We’ve got £12.
Ben: Hmmm … Where can we buy a present?
Jessica: Let’s buy Dad a CD.
Ben: Let’s buy Dad a T-shirt!
Mum: How about a cake? Let’s go to the supermarket!
Jessica and Ben: OK!
Jessica: Look! CDs. Ben! Look!
Ben: Cool!
Jessica: How much is it?
Ben: It’s £15.
Jessica: Oh.
Mum: Let’s buy a birthday cake.
Jessica: Ben, look, a T-shirt!
Ben: How much is it?
Jessica: It’s £10.
Ben: It’s great. Mmm, chocolate. Let’s buy Dad a chocolate
bar! There’s some chocolate over here.
Jessica: How much is the chocolate bar?
Ben: It’s 70 pence.
Jessica: We have £12. Let’s buy two chocolate bars and this
T-shirt!
Ben: Good idea!
